Your dental practice

To build the Stentra™ device we need optical scans of the patient's oral cavity. This is a quick process easily performed by a dental professional. Since you refer patients to a specific dental practice for clearance prior to radiation, we can connect with them to ensure the appropriate scans are provided. Please complete the information below for coordination:

Oral scans

To build the Stentra™ device we need optical scans of the patient's oral cavity. This is a quick process easily performed by a dental professional. Since you do not refer patients to a specific dental practice for clearance prior to radiation, we will look to coordinate with the patient's dentist or one close to the patient's Radiation Oncologist.

Radiation Oncology Details

Stentra™ is FDA cleared and prescribed (Rx) by the Radiation Oncologist. To build a Stentra device, we need to know how the Radiation Oncologist wants to position the patient's tongue. We also need the patient's target simulation date to ship Stentra in time for planning. Once we have the required oral optical scans, the Stentra device can be delivered in as little as 72 hours. Please provide the following information:

Talk to your doctor first

That's OK — we're happy to help. Many cases are right for Stentra™. The first step is to talk to your Radiation Oncologist about what they recommend to protect your healthy tissue, and if a custom mouthpiece like Stentra™ is right for your case.

Required Intraoral Optical Scans

While required details from the patient's Radiation Oncologist are being confirmed, the optical intraoral scans can be performed. We need maxilla, mandible and a buccal bite scan with a 15-20mm opening (a standard bite block normally meets this criteria). Once you submit this inquiry, we will follow-up with a document that outlines our scanning and uploading requirements. It is helpful if we know what type(s) of intraoral scanner(s) you have (please select all that apply):
